This year marks the 33rd Anniversary of the Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) Promise Gala as one of the longest running & most successful fundraising events in our community. Join us as we celebrate a record-breaking year in 2024, raising $1.77M. Promise Gala is attended by top corporate leaders from the region and provides powerful networking opportunities. Jim has served on the Board of Directors for Breakthrough T1D, then JDRF, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh, the Jewish Healthcare Foundation of Pittsburgh, The American Ireland Funds, and Gilmour Academy. He holds an Organizational Consulting certificate from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Political Science and Communications from Boston College.

We are Eric and Sara Meredith. Sara has been a T1D since 1964, and we have been involved with the BreakthroughT1D (formerly JDRF) Gala since 2011, and previously with the Breakthrough T1D Walk for a Cure. We are so grateful for all the research and advancements that Breakthrough T1D has funded towards the ultimate goal of finding a cure for T1D.
