T1D Connections Meetings: Albany
May 7, 2025, Albany, NY
6:30 pm (Eastern Time)
Join us at this meeting for a special guest speaker, Gloria Jean, sharing information on 504 Plans and IEPs to prepare for the 2025-2026 school year!
Gloria Jean is a pediatric mental health counselor at AMC Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics. One of her primary roles as an education consultant and therapist is to help parents navigate the school services system. She also educates trainees about IEPs and 504 plans. Prior to becoming a therapist, she was a school counselor and director of K-12 counseling during her almost 30-year career in education.
Join your local type 1 diabetes (T1D) community for an evening of connection & support! Our in-person T1D Connections Meetings are a space for school aged children (K-8) and their caregivers to come together to discuss the ups & downs of living with T1D, and spend time with others just like them!
Supervision of the children is provided, as well as games and activities. The parents/caregivers will have guided conversations in a separate space.
