About
Aubrey and Peter Grabow are honored to be co-chairing Breakthrough T1D’s NWA gala this year. Aubrey is currently the Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in North Texas for BaylorScott&White where she supports approximately 600 APPs across multiple service lines and specialties. She serves on various multidisciplinary committees at the hospital system, including the diabetes council for the entire hospital system. Aubrey is on the Board of Directors for the NWA chapter of BreakthroughT1D, and this past year was the honorary corporate chairperson for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in NWA. Peter recently retired as math professor, previously teaching at Northern Illinois University and the College of Dupage.
Our mission to turn TypeOne into TypeNone is driven by our personal experience with Type One Diabetes, as our son Jackson was diagnosed with this disease at 10 years old. We witness firsthand the struggles he goes through each day, as well as the challenges it brings for all those in our family, including Jackson’s brother Benjamin, who had to learn at a very young age what to do if Jackson were to get too low.
We are passionate about finding a cure, which is why we work tirelessly alongside BreakthroughT1D to drive research and funding for a future cure for all those affected. While technology has dramatically improved the quality of life for those with this disease, we have much work to do to truly eradicate T1D, and we thank you all in advance for supporting this extremely important work. Thank you for your support, and see you at the gala!
