Breakthrough T1D Pacific Northwest’s Young Leadership Committee works to provide fundraising, volunteering, and engagement opportunities geared towards young professionals in support of diabetes research and the type one diabetes community.

About

As a group of 21-35 year olds living in the Pacific Northwest, YLC represent a wide variety of professions and backgrounds, but we share a common interest: finding a cure for type one diabetes. Through the organization of fundraisers geared towards young adults and volunteering our time and skills at events in the T1D community, YLC supports the efforts of Breakthrough T1D, the world’s largest non-government funder of diabetes research. The Young Leadership Committee shares in Breakthrough T1D’s vision of a world without type one diabetes, and through the lens of young professional engagement, we have built a community in the Pacific Northwest focused on that goal.
