Kids with type 1 diabetes have been calling Camp Nejeda their “home away from home” since 1958, returning each summer for a fun camp experience and a chance to be “just kids.” Camp Nejeda’s Day Camp at Children’s Specialized Hospital brings the tradition of summer camp fun to Central New Jersey! Campers with diabetes will enjoy outdoor sports, group games, arts and crafts and field trips with experienced Nejeda counselors, while camp nurses help to guide campers in learning daily diabetes management skills.

• Camp is open to children ages 6-17 with diabetes and an optional sibling! Limited space available.
• Camp activities will take place at Children’s Specialized Hospital and the immediate vicinity and will also include a fun day trip.
• Registered Nurses onsite: overall Staff/Counselor to Camper ratio is 1:3
• Camp will run from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with early drop off starting at 8:00 a.m. and late pick-up until 5:00 p.m.
• Children bring their own lunch.
• Cost: $50 registration fee per child (which will be reimbursed after your child completes camp!)
