As we embrace the start of a new year, we also celebrate the return of our Ride to Cure Diabetes program. Whether you’re new to cycling or you’re a seasoned rider, take time this year to learn about Ride to Cure!
Breakthrough T1D Ride to Cure Diabetes features destination bike rides arranged around the country. Ride to Cure offers the chance for newbies or pros to experience cycling in unique locations, make new friendships, experience the unparalleled camaraderie of the Ride community and raise money to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
You’ll choose your own fundraising packages and set your own mileage goal. Along the way, you’ll receive the full support of the Breakthrough T1D Ride Community, from our local ride coaches to fundraising experts who will help you reach, and exceed, your fundraising goals.
There are five 2017 Rides to Cure Diabetes across the country. The rides, which occur August through November, each offer a unique and unforgettable experience. From riding the rolling hills of upstate New York to being one of 9,000 riders in the desert of Tucson, Breakthrough T1D has a ride for you.
The 2016 Ride season was absolutely incredible — nearly 2,000 riders raised more than $8 million dollars! The Amelia Island, Florida, ride was the largest-ever Breakthrough T1D Peer-to-Peer Fundraising event, with riders raising nearly $3 million dollars for Breakthrough T1D and T1D research!
The 2017 Ride season stands to be another fantastic year with the inclusion of two new rides in Colorado and Saratoga Springs. Registration for all 5 ride destinations opens on Wednesday, January 18th at 12 PM EST at ride.jdrf.org.
