Meet our All In for our Heros Honoree: The Nayman Family

Breakthrough T1D New Jersey Metro & Rockland County Chapter is proud to name The Nayman Family as our All In for our Heroes Casino and Poker Night Honoree!

Larry Nayman joined the Northern New Jersey & Rockland County Chapter as a volunteer in the early 1990’s when his daughter Rachel was diagnosed at 4 1/2 years old. He and his wife Susan, looked to the local Breakthrough T1D chapter and T1D community for support as they traversed a new routine of daily blood sugar management. This was at a time when insulin pumps, CGMs, and modern-day blood sugar meters did not exist. For over 30 years, Larry and his family have given countless hours to support Breakthrough T1D and our mission to end type 1 diabetes. Their efforts helped fund life altering research and technological advancements for all type 1 diabetics. We are honored to share their story and celebrate the Nayman family’s lifelong work to help all affected by T1D. To read their story and support their family’s efforts in the fight to end type 1 diabetes, please continue on to our All in for our Heroes website.
