Featuring Keynote Speaker: Padget Skogman M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Skogman serves on our Breakthrough T1D Cedar Rapids Community Board and will share a T1D research update and how to thrive with T1D! She grew up with T1D from the age of 5, as well as Celiac Disease (dx age 24yo) and experienced the healthcare system both as a child, patient, and mother. She has been a practicing pediatrician for 10 years both as a PCP and hospitalist. “Cheers to living our longest, healthiest, most fulfilling life and teaching our kids to do the same,” Dr. Skogman shared.

Youth & Teen Program Important Information:
Youth & Teen Program is available for youth grades K – 12th (spots are limited).
- Check-In: 9:15 am-9:30 am
- Keynote begins in main room at 9:30 am.
- If your child does not want to participate in Youth/Teen Program activities, they must attend breakout sessions with their caregiver.
- Parents/Caregivers are responsible for all diabetes management.
- The Youth & Teen Program with have juice boxes available for families to treat low blood sugars.
- Check-Out: Noon
- Following the last breakout sessions, please head directly to the Youth & Teen Program Rooms.
