Deb Kelly – October Volunteer of the Month
in General, Volunteers
Breakthrough T1D Minnesota-Dakotas Chapter is pleased to announce that Deb Kelly is October’s Breakthrough T1D Volunteer of the Month. Deb began volunteering after her grandson, Gordon, was diagnosed with T1D in 2014. Deb earned the honor of Volunteer of the Month because she was critical to the success of this year’s record-breaking Hope Gala. Deb was in the Breakthrough T1D office so often leading up to the event she could have used her own office! Her hard work night of ensured all volunteers knew where to go and what to do.
In addition to Deb’s help with Gala this year, she signed up to be a Walk Family Team Coach and will be making welcome calls and sending emails to encourage families dealing with a new T1D diagnosis to attend the Breakthrough T1D One Walk in February. Deb’s big heart, warm smile and impact on the organization is wide and felt by many. Please join us in thanking and congratulating Deb for lending her many talents to the Breakthrough T1D team!
