Breakthrough T1D Metro Detroit Chapter Announces Future Board Leadership
The Breakthrough T1D Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan Chapter announced new leadership roles for Jeff Weber and Craig Erlich.
The Chapter’s Board of Directors has named Weber, of Birmingham and partner at Weber & Olcese PLC, President-Elect. He will lead the organization’s Board for a two-year term beginning in July 2019, when he will succeed Rich Hewlett of Northville, and partner at Varnum LLP, as President.
“Since his daughter, Lola, was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 8, Jeff Weber has established himself as a leader in funding research on this disease,” said Nikki Borges, Chapter Executive Director. “I look forward to working with Jeff and Rich, on what is shaping up to be an exceptionally successful year.”
Additionally, Craig Erlich of Bloomfield Hills, Senior Vice President and General Manager of experience marketing firm George P. Johnson, has joined the Chapter’s Board of Directors. Erlich will chair the Board’s Corporate Development Committee.
“Craig’s commitment to our mission will add immediate value to our efforts,” added Borges. “We appreciate his willingness to help us build additional relationships in the corporate community.”
The Chapter and Board welcome our two latest appointments and are excited to embark on this next phase of our journey.
