Breakthrough T1D CEO Dr. Aaron J. Kowalski to Co-Chair EASD Symposium on
Heart Disease in Youth with Diabetes
The October 4 session in Hamburg, Germany will explore best practices in detecting cardiovascular risks for children with diabetes prior to adulthood.
On October 4, Aaron J. Kowalski, PhD., CEO of Breakthrough T1D, the leading global type 1 diabetes research and advocacy organization, will co-chair “Are youth with diabetes at risk for cardiovascular disease?”, a symposium at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) annual meeting in Hamburg, Germany. Dr. Kowalski will be joined by Dr. Dana Dabelea, director of the Lifecourse Epidemiology of Adiposity and Diabetes (LEAD) Center at the University of Colorado, Denver, who will also chair the event.
