Rock the Walk Breaks a Fundraising Record!

in

Nearly 800 people attended the 6th Annual Rock the Walk at the Springs Preserve, raising more than $106,000!  The proceeds raised from the event will fund research toward preventing, better treating, and curing type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications.

It was a magical evening under the moon and stars as Christy Molasky and the Music Junkies took center stage to entertain us with an incredible selection of music.  Christy was also accompanied by her very talented family, husband Alan, and teenagers, Jess and Josie.  Barry Black opened the concert along with a very special performance by Christian Otter.  Guests, who were escorted to their seats by the Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassadors, enjoyed an incredible Italian feast provided by Trattoria Reggiano.

On behalf of Breakthrough T1D, we would like to extend a special thanks to our underwriting sponsors, the Rich Worthington Family and the Chris and Cathy Haase family.  We would also like to thank all of the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who came together to make this event such a tremendous success.  Through their contributions and dedication, Breakthrough T1D is able to fund more research toward preventing, better treating, and curing type 1 diabetes.

If you were unable to attend but would still like to support the event, you may do so through the purchase of Rock the Walk logo apparel.  T-shirts, ball caps, fleece blankets, and messenger bags are available for $10 to $15 each.  Please contact the Breakthrough T1D office at 702.732.4795 if you are interested.
