On behalf of Breakthrough T1D and the community we extend a huge THANK YOU to Peoria Nissan for including Breakthrough T1D in their 3rd Annual Rooftop Cause Network’s Awareness Campaign!! We were thrilled to participate and appreciate the opportunity to raise awareness and educate the community on our organization and type 1 diabetes (T1D). Your continued partnership propels us forward in our research efforts to find a cure for T1D.

The theme of this year’s campaign is “1 Dollar, 1 Hour, 1 Life”. Breakthrough T1D is one of 19 different organizations this year selected by Peoria Nissan to support. They believe it is the educational efforts made during these interviews that make a true difference in our community. On May 15, 2012 the Venezia family represented the Breakthrough T1DDesert Southwest Chapterin sharing their personal diagnosis story, managing T1D, differentiating T1D and type 2 diabetes, finding out that Sophie is a normal teenage girl with a few extra steps in her day, and their connection to Breakthrough T1D.

Thank you to the staff of Peoria Nissan for your hard work, effort, time and contributions to raise awareness, educate our community and further our efforts to find a cure for T1D!!
