Young Adult Advocacy Council
Young Adult Advocacy Council
The Young Adult Advocacy Council (YAAC) is a group of young adults who are business professionals, community leaders, and engaged students. These up-and-comers actively support the advancement of Breakthrough T1D’s advocacy priority areas, spread awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D) within their communities, and inspire youth to use their voices and share their stories with key decision makers. Through their involvement, they drive meaningful progress on our path to cures for T1D.
About the Young Adult Advocacy Council
Breakthrough T1D’s Advocates have had an incredible impact on moving the ball forward for the T1D community. Advocates have secured billions in Federal funding for T1D research, influenced policy decisions to benefit people with T1D, and much more. Members of the YAAC will take a leadership role in continuing this important work.
